Instructor Bio

Sensei Shawn Steiner has over 20 years of martial arts experience. He first became interested in Kempo karate after seeing The Perfect Weapon starring Kenpo expert Jeff Speakman. After being told about a local Kempo school by a couple of Air Force buddies, he decided to see what the school and art had to offer.

He has been teaching martial arts in Omaha, NE since 1997, and is a well-respected member of the community. His dedication to the success of his students is unparalleled, and his passion for teaching is evident in every class.

Sensei Steiner is a 7th degree black belt in Steiner’s Chuan Fa. Sensei Steiner has over 25 years of martial arts experience.  He is Owner and Chief Instructor at Steiner Academy of Martial Arts in Omaha, Nebraska.  He is also a certified Black Belt instructor in American Chaun Fa under Dr. Ron Chapel, a Master firearms instructor and certifications/ranking in multiple other styles.

Sensei Steiner is a dedicated and multifaceted martial artist and teacher with an incredible passion to not only develop his students, but to expand his own knowledge and understanding in martial arts as a whole, how it functions as a form of self-defense, and how it is interpreted in different ways.

It is his mission to ensure that everyone who attends Steiner Academy of Martial Arts is given the opportunity to grow as martial artists and as individuals.

Sensei Steiner is directly involved in the daily operations and classes at the Academy.

Small Groups can also schedule personalized training.  Subject matter can be determined beforehand.   A small group of S.A.M.A students working for their next rank.  A group of moms looking for fitness and self defense instruction, A group of Homeschool families looking for physical education, martial arts, self-defense (on-going group rates to be negotiated)
