My role as Sensei is something that I take very seriously and hold dear. It is my calling and I am grateful to all who have contributed to my growth, both instructors and students. Teaching is the sustenance of my happiness.
My vision is to provide an academy of learning, a place to provide growth for students and instructors, growth in a martial arts sense and in a personal sense. Steiner Academy of Martial Arts will be a place to become a better martial artist and better citizen of the world. Martial arts is a vehicle by which we grow, it is not to be taken lightly. It must be pursued with vigor and commitment. My role as Sensei is something that I take very seriously and hold dear. It is my calling and I am grateful to all who have contributed to my growth, both instructors and students. Teaching is the sustenance of my happiness.
The Masters Guide is an expression of many years of experience and should be treated with respect. Many hours have been spent refining its contents, hours of training and hours of editing. Treasure it as if it were gold. A book of this nature is an exception; it is an example of attention to detail and the pursuit of excellence.
I declare my Independence today and wish to share my new found freedom with you the student. May our journey be exciting, fruitful and fun. I am thankful to my students current and past. Without them I would not be able to pursue my dreams. I strive to return to my students all that they have given me.
In closing, be true, be diligent and be a shining example of martial arts study. You are able to become better than you can currently imagine, if you are willing to do the work.
